why does my chihuahua puppy want to bite me whenever we play?

it seems whenever i get her chew toys out to play with her, and she see's my hand, she wants to bite at my fingers, or if i play with her on the floor she comes for me head or feet.

I don't know what to do!?! I'm open to any suggestions.

This is a normal puppy thing. When my pups did/do that I just screetch "OUCH!" like their litter mates would & generally they let go. She will grow out of it though...promise. :o)

she probably bites you because she might think ur fingers are a food or toy and shes a puppy and puppy chews everything not a big problem its normal :) but when she grows up and if she still does that that is a big problem. you don't have to do anything just teach her not to bite people.

ok well since she is a puppy she doesn't know any better so you should do what her brothers and sisters did... yelp really loud when she bites you even if it doesn't hurt that much so that she learns it is not okay.... if that doesn't work get a spray bottle and spray her when she does that but i think the first one is more affective

It is a puppy, it is teething buy your dog some chew toys, and rawhides to it can teeth on those, instead of your hands.

    hi ya

my chihuhauas do that to but not so much now i think its just a puppy thing , the best way to stop it is by just telling her off when she bites you , but i think she should grow out of it like mine have
