My Wii connects to the internet, but the connection test fails, why?
I don't know much about this, so please keep it simple. If it's not, make a tutorial if you can. Thank you.
I have no idea what a WEP code is, or how to change the channels on my router.
It's a Wireless connection, I got the password right, the connection is strong, but when it tests the connection, it says it cannot connect.
I'm using a Linksys router.

the problem might be the WEP code. you ether don't know it or its the wrong code.. this is simple but it depends on which internet provider or internet box you have. I have AT&T yahoo high speed DSL broadband which is fast. on the 2wire box i have the WEP code is on the bottom of the box between 2 code bars in these [10 digit code here]. type it in and make sure it's your internet box.you should be fine.

Which do you have Wire less internet or Corded internet? Cause if its wireless (unless you have the nintendo usb) you have to search are for an access point then you have to find WEP code for internet.
If its corded internet you have to buy a lan adapter where you can buy at best buy for $30. First you stick the usb into back of wii then plug in the wire via the modem then do the test. Hope this helps!

try to reset your internet connection, or even try reseting your wii. I also encountered this problem and this did it for me.
