my ipod is frozen on the menu screen and won't even turn off?
what can i do...its a small 8GB

hold down the menu button and the circle button bit in the very middle.
you gotta hold them down at the same time.
it basically works as a reset button.
doesnt take all your music off just reboots it.
this happens to my ipod fairly often and i just do that and its fine afterwards.

Try laying it down on a flat surface like a table, and then pressing te menu and select buttons until an apple logo appears. It will probably take 6-10 seconds.
If that doesn't work try plugging it in a charger or your computer.
