Science fair topics- for 8th grade boy?

i put mine off until the last minute. my project estimate and predicted the melting times of different chocolate bars depending on their cacao percentage content ie light milk semi-sweet dark. easiest thing of my life. and ps. i went to a very challenging private school and i made it seems like it took alot of planning, which it didn't and made my board and conclusions/ report look great and i won 1st place! easy and delicious!

It really depends on what kinds of resources you have. In sixth grade I did a titration to determine the most effective antacids. It sounds really complicated, but it was super easy and I did it in a week. Look online though, there are tons of websites dedicated to the topic. I'm sure you can find something on one of them. I would lean towards a consumer science project. They tend to be really easy and can be fun; they don't seem to complicated though if that's what you are going for.
