Animal Crossing City Folk Transfer Data?

I recently bought a copy of Animal crossing city folk for the wii, and this was a few days before I got the SD card. I made a town using the wii data and now I want to make another town, but it won't let me. I tried to copy the data onto the sd card but it isn't able to be copied. I really don't want to erase my current town, but I want to make a new one. How do I make a new town on the sd card without erasing the one I made on the wii's memory?

Is it possible...? (desperate)

I'm pretty sure this can't be done. I've heard of people trying this trick to get a town with a hacked amount of bells, but lots of complaining that it doesn't work.

You could try pointing the Wii to the SD card but I'm pretty sure that it won't work. The only way to make a new town is to rewrite and lose the old town or buy another wii

What you can do is copy the file of the town you want to keep onto your SD card and then erase it on the wii memory and start a new one. However, if you want to play the file on the SD card, you would have to copy the file for the new town onto the SD card and copy the old file on the SD card back onto the Wii memory.
