Beagle with health issues?
My beagle has chronic ear infections. I have taken her to several vets (to the tune of thousands of dollars) and nothing seems to help. Anyone have any suggestions? Her poor ears are so swollen inside that cleaning is next to impossible.

Since your vet hasn't found any other reason for those infections, please ask him to check your dog's thyroid function - preferably have the blood send off to Dr. Jean Dodds in California.

This is the cheapest and best thyroid test available, and Jean Dodds is one of the most experienced specialists on Hypothyroidism. Hemopet does a full thyroid panel routinely, unlike most other laboratories.
Chronic ear infections are a classic clinical symptom for malfunctioning thyroids. Please read the website below - you may recognize some other signs or symptoms in addition.

Have you considered that it can be caused by a food allergy? Also, I suggest you go to a specialiest, not a local veterinarian. If it continues, she may end up going deaf.
