Bank of America account question?

If I change my BOA student checking account to another type of account will it change my routing number for direct deposit?

    your routing number basically indicates the state that you are in. so if you opened the other account in the same state as the other account- then your routing number would be the same.

    there are some exceptions though, for instance the state of Florida is split into Eastern FL and Western FL for routing purposes.

    But if you did this at the same banking center or a neighboring banking center you should be fine.

    Your routing number will stay the same but the account number will change.
