GED testing essay question and math question?
Im in NY and going to be taking my ged test in a little more than a month. Now, about the ged essay. Do they give you a list of topics to choose from, or do you have to pick a topic yourself?
Also, for the math part, do they give you a list of how many ounces in a pound, etc? Those types of things, or do i have to remember all of that and how to find perimeter, area, etc?

Here are the kinds of things you need to know for the big 2014 GED math test update: solving equations for variables slopes of lines finding points on lines geometry and angle relations (especially Pythagoras’ theorem and degrees in triangles) area, surface area, and volume of shapes like triangles, circles, parallelograms, spheres, cylinders, rectangles, and squares percentages proportions ratios and fractions converting between decimal and fractions plotting and reading graphs statistics such as mean, median, and mode probability number lines scatter plots rates such as miles per hour, gallons per square foot, etc. It's important that you know how to apply the theory to solve word problems. The point of the 2014 update was to replace the plug and play problems with ones that require mathematical reasoning!
