Anybody a purple chef ?

Today is the Alamo bowl and my family are all Northwestern alumni.

I'd like to have a post-game party and I have no time to run to the store. What food should I make?

Update:

Purple chef is a joke. I have grapes, blueberries, ice cream and other stuff. My family is vegetarian and i was thinking just light appetizers and drinks and desserts

Sorry, I can't think of any purple foods other than grape and grape-flavored things like Jell-o. Easy to see which team you're rooting for, though -- hope they win!

(Oh, beets might work, or really rare meat!)

Northwestern colors - PURPLE & GOLD, right?

Ok - grab any fresh veggies you might have and some salad dressing if you don't have dip for a make-shift veggie tray. Add in a few slices of cheese, cut into little squares and your best crackers in the cabinet.

OR, most people have pasta in the cupboard. Make a pasta salad using any veggies you might have and a creamy or vinegrette salad dressing.

Make a fast salsa from a can of tomatoes and 1 can Ro-tel. A few spins in the food processor and a squirt of lime juice and a sprinkling of cilantro from the spice jar if you don't have fresh.

Last resort #1: Ask fans & friends to bring a munchie.

Last resort #2: serve lots of alcohol and maybe they won't notice the food
