What are the main differences between myspace and facebook?
I have a myspace now and I am pleased with it for the most part. I have heard about facebook but I don't really know anything about it. What can you tell me? I would like to know more before I consider creating another profile...you know what I mean?

My wife and I are both MySpace fans. I am 53 and she is a 51 year old singer/actress who actually finds Facebook rather boring compared to MySpace. We both use MySpace for serious networking and in addition I have a Music page that I use for promotional purposes. I don't know how people can say MySpace is just for 14 year olds. Yes, there are two different "camps" - the youngsters (teens) who use MySpace in one way (sometimes negatively to harass or disrespect each other) and then there are adult users who find MySpace to be a genuinely useful networking and promotional tool

i started using facebook in the middle of the summer and i have to say, i like it a lot better. i used to have a myspace for 3 years until really i got too old for it - many of my friends also switched over to facebook so i figured why not? and followed them over as well. also what i really like about facebook is because you can easily find your friends and it is a lot easier to start up a new account. unlike myspace where you have to search one of your friends, wait until they accept and search friends that way. although facebook is a lot cleaner, less laggy, & more organized than myspace, it does take a little while to get used to.

Myspace is simpler to use and the account can be deleted with 1 click. Facebook on the other hand does not have this feature and you must delete all your pictures, videos, comments etc 1 by 1.

Facebook started out as being just for college people. Even though it's not, you can't see the profiles of people outside your network (school or hometown or company) like you can with Myspace.

Myspace is funner, there is more customization options, etc.
Facebook is crap, to be honest.. don't get it - stick with Myspace, even though Facebook is considered cooler, or the "in thing." Facebook let's you do minimal things, you can't even put a background for God's sake !

I have both myspace and facebook.
i have different friends on both, but for the most part facebook is more formal than myspace.
i love them both.
i suggest you get a facebook too, if you hate it you can always delete it!
