How to record whats going on your computer?

I see a lot of youtube videos that it looks like their recording whats going on their computer but its really steady so r they just like using a tripod or what is their some kind of software?

what im tying to ask is, is their a way to record whats going on, on your computer without a Camera

    There is many different programs that do this, but the most popular is HyperCam2. It's Free and Best of all Virus free.
