Rebuilding transmission will help with power?

In need of some advise or information. I have a CVT transmission and I am slowly working my way to increasing power for my 08 lancer. I know that my transmission has limitations of holding some horsepower but I kept wondering... if I had rebuild the CVT transmission with stronger internals, will this handle more power?

Update:

Oh yeah, would it also to be better to just get a manual swap in the future or just rebuild an cvt transmission?

    There are transmission shops out there that do performance rebuilds. If you doa n internet search you may find one near you.
