What did you do when...?

you found that you could no longer wear bras? I am 27w4d along and I have gotten to the point where I can only wear my husbands undershirts. I have brought a maternity bra that is a cup and ribcage size bigger and after wearing it maybe 3 or 4 times it actually hurts to wear on the last hook. At this point I would rather have sagging boobs then be in the pain from my ribcage feeling too tight. What did you do when you go to this point in your pregnancy? I am going to ask my doctor what can I do about this on my next visit. I have 3 other children and did not have this much tightness with any of them. ouch!

Update:

Obviously, I know that I need to buy a/some bigger bras. If I buy new ones now and then they don't fit after a while I am in the same boat as now. I wear my husbands A shirts which fit snuggly around my stomach and breast, but are not pressing on my ribs. Thanks for the answers, so far.

They have these things out now that can make more hooks they have like 3 extra rows on them so maybe you might be able to wear your bras longer and i dont think they cost a whole lot maybe you could look into getting one so your not in pain. hope this helps!

Try maybe a sports bra or a tank top that has a built in bra? That is what I have to do. I gave up on normal bras for now. They are just too uncomfortable! And every time I try and get a new one, it seems like my chest grows bigger over night:[

I got the Medela sports bra:

It stretches and stretches while still giving you support. I went up 3 cup sizes from really big to enormous and it still fits now (my little one is 8 weeks old today).

    Good Luck!
