What is the difference between computer wallpaper and screensavers ?

Wallpaper is your desktop background

A screen saver is what appears on your screen after you haven't used your computer for a specified (by you) period of time.

Wallpaper is the background. Icons go over the background/wallpaper & you can change it by right clicking the background itself & selecting "Properties" (to see the desktop, minimize all windows by right clicking the taskbar @ the bottom of the screen & clicking Show Desktop).

Screensavers only go on when you're not doing anything on the computer - typically after a preset period of time like 5 or 20 min. To set them, click Properties like you would to change the wallpaper, but go to the Screensaver tab.

Screensavers appear when your computer is not in use for a long period of time. Screensavers are usually moving images. A Wallpaper is just the background of your desktop.

A computer wallpaper is the picture that is the background to your desktop. A screen saver is when your computer is idled (meaning it hasnt been touched for an amount of time) and an animated background comes into effect.
