Yes. You have to get a bachelor's degree to go to med school and since you can't get a degree in pre-med you have to pick a degree granting major, but it can be anything you want.

Yes, you do still pick a major, it's just you also take classes with the intent of going to med school. Pre-med just means you're taking classes that med schools require of their applicants, like bio, organic chem, and physics. You can go for a psych major and just take those classes on the side, or you can go for something like biology, where most of the classes required for your major also go towards the requirements that med schools are looking for (and then you have more free classes to take whatever you like!).

you can pick any major you want. you just have to take the premed requirements i believe.
