How do people stand boating?

I mean, you're out there, middle of the ocean no land in sight dependent on a hollow piece of wood to keep your heavy a$$ bouyant while either waiting for a strong gust of wind to carry you or a rinky-dink motor to put-put your a$$ to the nearest harbor. How can you can it? I'd be freaking out. I prefer flying.

I have no idea. I get seasick after being on the water for just 10 minutes. I don't even think it's that safe.

I can't swim so any boat may as well be the Titanic to me.
