pointe question. bloch pointe shoes.?
so i just ordered some bloch pointe shoes. im just trying to find the pointe shoes i like best. so i was wondering.
do you like blochs.
do they have good support.
what have you heard about blochs.
just want to know what exactly im getting.!
okay.im aware of all the fitting and blah blah blah. i've already been en pointe dont worry. i have russian pointes now. and i had to get a really hard shank because i have strong feet and good arches. im just trying out different shoes and finding the best model and look i like. so just tell me what you think of blochs. thank you. i dont need your opinion on other things. sorry to be rude but it gets kind of annoying when people dont answer the question and try to tell you how to do whatever your doing.

i think they are definitely the best brand. I buy all my dance shoes from there.

i'm assuming that you ordered these from a store and plan on getting fitted by someone once they arrive. It's really not a good idea to just buy shoes without being fitted. different models are designed for different feet, and usually an experienced fitter can tell whether or not they'll work at a glance.
But anyway, Bloch's do have a tendancy to be pretty hard, and I think that if you don't have much of an arch or you have weak feet, they might be too hard. However, they should last you a good while, if your fitter approves them for your feet.
i have strong feet, and personally love my Bloch Axioms. They are a softer model, so I go through more shoes, but I love how they look.

First of all, I would suggest getting Capezio Glisse's brand. They are the most comfortable and make your feet look the prettiest. : ) A lot of blochs make your feet look as if you either have too mauch of an arch on your feet, or if you do have a good arch, they just aren't made to fit around that part of your foot. I had nothing but bad luck with comfort and "ugliness" before I tried this awesome brand.
But you already ordered some, hope they work out for ya.
Most pointe shoes are made to give awesome support...think about it, they just have to, because it's pretty unnatural for any foot to be hoppin around on shoes like this. So most are pretty geniusly made.
I think they'll just take some getting used to, especially if it is your first time. Your feet and legs may be sore for a while, but if you practice more than just once a week, your feet will get used to them!
Godo luck and happy new year!

My first pair of pointe shoes were Bloch Signature Rehearsals and they lasted until the end of our recital. They come in all sorts of widths, so your narrow feet will be fine. The high arch will make them look good too. Don't worry, although they may have a "bad" reputation, they are good long lasting shoes that will keep you well supported on pointe. And as for the store, ask your parents on which one they are willing to go to.

You need to go to a dance store and be fitted for pointe shoes, it would be nice if your ballet teacher could go with you. Pointe shoes have many important factors, one being the shank of the shoe having enough support to hold you and that you don't brake them easily which would mean you need a different shoe. Pointe shoes are very personal thing one person may like only one shoe but another can't wear them.

Well I use European Balance shoes that are made by bloch. They are very comfortable and good for people with narrow feet. European Balance does have good support and are good for people who arn't really over feet yet because they have a built in arch. They also are very comfortable on your feet becuase they have a small built in pad at the very bottem.

my friend has blochs...at least she used to and she said she didn't like them very much... I've never had blochs, I get freed studios. I like those. Blochs may or may not get good support depending on things like the shank and vamp and how well they're sized to your feet. I've heard that they're okay, good, bad, great...mostly good comments though...I hope you like them...it also kind of depends on your feet...
I hope this was helpful!

When I first started pointe, I started on Bloch Aspiration for beginning pointe...I don't like these shoes at all. After over a year I couldn't break in the arches. I tried everything from bending them to slamming them in doors. They also were extremely uncomfortable, even for a pointe shoe!
