Choosing between Preston and Brett for a boy...which one?
I'm told Preston is wimpy and feminine, yet it's not in the baby name books under a girl's name. I'm told Brett is masculine, yet it's in the baby name book under boys and girl names. What gives?

brent is a boy's name. brett is definitely feminine.
between brent and preston, i'd choose preston.
hey, how about Bard or, Bosley or, Briggs? i really, really like briggs.
btw the page i'm looking at says brett is masculine, but i still say it sounds feminine.

Who knows?
I don't find Preston wimpy at all. I envision a Preston as a high-powered business exec.
Brett is more unique, tho. Not really popular. And that may make it more desirable.
Both names are fine, really. I think I'd go with Brett so your child doesn't get a dozen Bretts in his class.

Preston in my opinion is a very girly name. A little annoying too. As for Brett, Ashley and Lindsay are both unisex names but they're typically used for one gender. Brett, though listed as being ambiguous, is used for males far more often than females.

I like Brett the best, Preston is probably being overused these days and does sound wimpy, although it doesn't sound feminine.
I'm probably being biased though cause I know a guy named Brett and he's very sexy..haha

Brett.
Somebody very special in my life is named Brett. It's simple yet cute.
Preston sounds like a celebrity baby name. Too trendy and overused.
Hey good luck with your baby boy!
Have an awesome New Year :]

I can't stand the name Brett, it's horrible.
Preston is a great name though & I don't think it's feminine at all, very masculine to me. I agree with the other person who said Preston James :)

I like Preston more. Add James for the middle name and it sounds great. :0)
