Spore graphics are really bad?
I know this is not the way the game looks so i must be missing something, there are black marks in the sky and just odd blurs here that there and the graphics are really choppy like an old n64 game. When i put the game on my computer it a message came up saying something about needing a download or the graphics would be bad. Do not tell me to buy a graphics card i have a Geforce 8400 and im working on getting it installed (it came with the wrong booklet so its hard to figure it out) i know its not something i have to buy cause it told me to download it.
What is it i need?
System:
compaq presario SR2010NX
Windows XP Sp 2 (i have all the updates it told me to get over the years)
1Gb or ram
And a non working spore

Well how are you going to tell us not to tell you to get a new graphics card, when you haven't even installed it? When you install the graphics card the game will obviously look better.

I don't think the game was aiming for awesome graphics, they were kinda going for an artistical feel not realistic like halo 3 or gears or warcraft/ starcraft. Besides with those types of games i would want a good framerates, graphics shouldnt be an issue anyways does spore have that high of a minimum graphics requirement? your specs seem to be alright.
