marine reserve, working overseas ?
I know a guy who is working overseas, while he is a marine reserve. Later he was shipped to Iraq. The thing I don't understand, if a marine reserve have to report once a month, where would he report...would it be the embassy.

he can get released from his unit for a period of time or put in the IRR until his tour of duty at his job site is up. Soldiers in the IRR can still be activated.

If he's working overseas, he's on active duty just like a regular Marine. He'll report to his chain of command within his unit he's assigned to.

Not necessarily , there is a form called an RIDT which you can fill out and make up your days in advance. As long as the CO doesnt have a problem with it than he can make up all the days of the year in 24 straight working days.
