not sure...I'm always bad at picking those lol :o)
My mom has been doing great at losing weight lately. She has been working out a lot, stopped drinking soda, and taken bread out of her diet except on special occasions. (excess sugars which are found in bread and sugar cause people to be more hungry after they are consumed) She also no longer consumes artificial sugars which I think is more for genitic intestine problems but can't hurt for anyone. She's lost something like 30 lbs and she fits into a size 6 jean size! I'm really proud of her as is she.
Personally I've been working out myself lately I run a mile and do various other machines until I've exercised all the different muscles I want to work on. But really just walking for thirty minutes and getting your heart rate up burns the same amount of calories and takes better care of your joints. For even more joint protection I would recommend the eliptical the best thing they have right now for protecting joints while working out. To find out what you should keep your heart rate at for fat burn you can go to a gym or look up online a heart rate chart that tells you by approximate age what your heart rate should be at when working out. Also you can get heart monitors for individual use or most machines at a gym have hand holds that monitor your heart rate while your working out.
When you first work out your heart rate will go up and down quickly what you want (which should happen after you've been working out for awhile) is your heart rate to go up at the beginning of the work out and down at the end steadily. Also, don't forget to stretch beforehand my aunt didn't once and tore her ECL and can no longer run.
Also, I'm a yoga girl myself but my mom got herself really motivated and working out by joining a class at the gym and making friends. I would have stayed with the gym myself except I had to move away to college but up there I joined a sports team. It really does help to have someone to go through it all with.
Hope that gives you a little help :)
Goodluck!!
