would a motile or non motile protozoan be more likely to be free-living? explain your answer?

    Motile.

    The definition of free living is - Not parasitic on another organism

    Therefore if a protozoan is living independantly it must find it's OWN food and shelter to survive, and not rely on anything else. Logically it would be much easier to do this if it were motile.
