How do you transfer songs to a new Ipod?
I bought my daughter an ipod touch to replace her old ipod. When I try to hook it to the computer and download the songs from her itunes library - it won't let me. I have literally spent hours trying to get it to work. Can someone please give me an idea on how to make it work?

Here is an easy way. Simply use Tansee iPod Transfer. It is a handy tool solely designed to transfer all songs and video on iPod to computer. I like its easy, entire and secure transfer. You can download it at
Just need a few simple clicks. When you plug your iPod that has music/video from other iTunes to the computer, this program could display all songs and videos on the iPod instantly. You simply select what you wish to transfer and click "Copy" button. Done. All your selected files will be copied to your computer completely and safely.
Then you can easily add those songs and videos to your iTunes library. Now all your music and video are on one iTunes library.
It even has step-by-step guide on the whole process.

you need to pair it to her computer.. a computer can have many ipods on it... but each ipod can only be paired to one computer..
also make sure its not trying to overfill the ipod it won't sync if you try to sync 10GB of music into 7GB of availbale space.
look under the ipods settings page when its plugged in to see what it says under music.
also Make sure you have a full power USB connection (many laptops and keyboard connectors only give 100mA max rather than the full 500mA, also do not connect via an unpowered hub either.
connect it direct to the computer on a full power USB port or via a powered hub (mains transformer connected to it) and it should be OK.
make sure you have the latest itunes 8.0.2
and reset the ipod before connection (menu and centre key till screen blanks then connect once it lights up).
You need to tell your ipod to sync apps, Music (or Movies etc) as by default most syncing is OFF other than Music which is ALL unless its too big for the ipod/iPhone when its none.
Plug ipod into itunes.
clcik on the ipods Icon its summary page appears.
clcik on the tab that says APPS
click on 'Sync All' or ' Sync only selected'
click on APPPLY BOX
click on SYNC box.
voila it now will sync apps.
