Titleist AP1 Irons anyone played? ?

Have you played the new Titleist AP 1 Irons? If so any feedback would be great. Feel, playability, forgiveness, etc. I hit a clean crisp iron and looking to make a change, but want to stay away from forged irons as the course we play is very hard pan and will wear a clubhead quickly.

Thanks

low handicap. consistent swing. good contact. more than enough feedback. game improvement slightly. these irons do have lower more penetrating ball flight. other game improvement clubs do ballon the ball. weaker lofts than the ap2. good durable irons. slightly workable. but like all game improvements. just to much screwing around to hit fades draws. good choice. if you live near canada. american dollar is worth 1.34 canadian. with 34 percent of . may be worth while to take this price into shop. custom fitting now free. avoid cord grips. these are brutal. like grabbing glass . good choice. not as long high as 2 series. better all around club. as far as low handicap. there are mid handicappers. who can hit pure iron shots. physical problems , health problems. yet there iron shots. are low handicap. i will never understand what a low handicap is. had one . got the big c. gave clubs juniors, tried last year. qafter 4 years not playing. 1987 powerbuilt blades. worst score. no driver. just 3 wood 78 on 124 slope. have low handicap. since carry five wedges. do i hit the ball low handicap. no. makes no sense.

OK I have a set & this is my review as compaired to other clubs:

First, I'm a 60 year old 14 handicap (from white tees) can drive 240-260 yards. So I can still turn on the ball. I had a set of TaylorMade RX7 XD & got the AP1's. They are a good looking club, not over-offset, well balanced. I really didn't see much difference in distance, slightly higher ball flight (RX XD are really low lofted tho).

So I got a great deal on Ping G10 irons. They are at least 1 club less in length, but easier to get lofted flight.

Back to the AP's- They remind me of blades, you really need to concentrate and hit the center, not all that forgiving. But man they feel good when center struck. So......I would say if you are a true mid-handicapper (8-15) you will like them, otherwise get a more forgiving set.
