We're staying in a hotel tonight (New Year's Eve special w/ late checkout) and walking across the street to a restaurant/bar. Parking the car at the hotel and not driving again until tomorrow afternoon.

yes - it would be dumb not to have one, try a cab! that way you don't have to worry & share the cab fare with who ever will be with you!
