    You cannot recognize divinity in the most mediocre among us until you learn to appreciate divinity overall. Divinity in the most mediocre is but a reflection of true divinity. so you must learn to recognize and appreciate true divinity before you can begin to appreciate it in the mediocre.

    to my understanding the quote seems backwards.

    If divinity can be found in the most mediocre among us, what does that say about divinity?

    * 4 cups granulated sugar

    * 1 cup light (not dark) corn syrup

    * 1 cup water

    * 1/4 tsp salt

    * 3 egg whites (room temperature)

    * 1 cup walnuts, chopped

    * 1 tsp vanilla

    * food coloring

    Mix everything but the eggs in a saucepan and boil it.

    Beat the egg whites until fluffy stuff appears, then pour the boiled stuff over the egg white fluffy stuff and beat it until its all stiff.

    *I can appreciate that most people can do this but that some screw up their divinity.

    Well, there is certainly divinity in every person as we are made in the image of God.

    But every person is not as God had created us originally, we are in a corrupted state.

    Just as the divine nature of each one of us has been corrupted, our perception and judgment have also been corrupted.

    God's nature has not been corrupted, that kind of divinity is pure and more recognizable, even to the impaired perception.

    Imagine it is like being half deaf, you may not be able to hear an acoustic guitar very well, but you would be able to hear an amplified electric guitar very well.

    While we may not see the candle of divinity in each one of us very well, the divinity of God, would shine like the clearest, brightest and purest light.

    Hope that helps.
