could be a blend door, but does it have any coolant leaks? your durango also has an auxiliary water pump, close to the right side cowl area, that pumps coolant to the rear heater core. check and see if it works or is leaking.

It appears like the vacuum operated restrict valve isn't commencing up all a thank you to enable antifreeze freely bypass in the time of the equipment to the rear unit. whilst working right, it is going to on the brink of limit antifreeze bypass so the a/c will blow chilly and it is going to thoroughly open once you turn to warmth to enable warm antifreeze bypass in the time of the equipment to grant warmth. save on with the path of the heater hoses decrease than the hood from the heater a/c field to the engine and decrease than the motor vehicle to the rear unit and you will see the valve aspiring to get replaced. you may replace it with a similar valve or purchase a instruction manual one which you open and close with somewhat lever or knob which you change on and stale for warmth or a/c to artwork. reliable success

try this first pull the cover off the rear heater and see if its actually heating up before you try anything else then you,ll know if the aux, pump is working to pump the hot coolant back to it,if not then check the lines leading back to it and see if they are getting hot or even warm,by doing all this you can save your self a lot of time and aggravation,id say its more of a pump problem than a blend door problem with that one, good luck and happy new years.

Your train of thought in regards to a blend door sticking is most likely the problem. Although repair is easy you might have to remove the entire heater box to repair, and that's a bit of a pain. Good luck!
