Dove products are supposed to be really good. They have "Intense Damage Therapy" shampoo & conditioner that you could try.

Before I straighten my hair, I use a spray by Rusk and it really helps keep my hair healthy. You can get it at most salons.

Hope I've helped & Happy New Year! :)

If you use a good conditioner when you're washing your hair, and a heat-protector spray right before you straighten, it helps. Shop around and find one that you like for your type of hair. Also, when you're straightening take small sections and go over them slowy and smoothly, not too fast or slow or risk breaking/burning your hair. If you do it well and with the products it makes your hair look a lot better. :] You can find some of the products you need at just regular drugstores if you want, like Walgreens. I buy the CHI 44 heat-protector spray from Walgreens and it works really well, for me and everybody else I know that uses it.

I've tried so many and have found the best of luck with Biolage heat styling cream. You can put it on right before you straighten, or after you get out of the shower. It's non-greasy and makes my hair really soft! And it smells really good. :) You should try it, I highly recommend it!

And if you really want to get to the root of the problem, get Dove Anti-breakage shampoo and conditioner! It's the only one I'll use, I'm in love with it!!!

It depends on how your using the straightener, you cant pull to hard or to fast. You have to be slow and steady.PANTENE works really well for Caucasians but if you have African American type hair then doo gro products work really well and you should try braiding your hair for a while.

There are products called heat savers that protect against damage. Try Proxxen, I've heard it's the best.
