How does a stenner pump work?

I had to look up what you meant as this is a brand name and not the correct pump name. These are call peristaltic pumps.
Have you ever taken a rubber tube and squeezed all the air out of it? It pulls a vacuum on your finger. Same principal in these pumps. There is a rubber tube that is flattened by rollers on a cam shaft. As the roller runs past the inlet side, the tube springs back open, creating a vacuum, pulling up fluid. As the second roller comes by the cycle repeats itself. These are also a form of positive displacement pumps meaning the water pumped must eject the pump. The highlight is these will pump against high pressure and does not require priming. The downside is the gpm is minimal.
