Why does Firefox ask me where to save WMV when I click a video link? ?

When I'm in Firefox, every time I try to click a WMV link to watch a video, a download box comes up asking me where I want to save the file to. I just want to watch the video, not save it. I can't figure it out. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance, and Happy New Year!!

Do you have Windows Media Player installed or another application to view those files? Maybe the file associations are off and you need to re-associate Media Player with the file type. Save the file to your hard drive, right-click on it go to open with>>Choose Program...>>Select Media Player and then check the check box that says "Always use selected program to open this kind of file." If that does not work try reinstalling Media Player.
