What are the best public engineering colleges in the US?

What are the best public engineering colleges in the US?

I have searched google for lists, but they always contain the private colleges like MIT and Stanford, but I want a list of just the public schools. Thanks.

By 'public' I presume you mean 'state run' rather than private.

Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, Iowa State, University of Wisconsin at Madison, University of Texas at Arlington, and Arizona State all have good electrical engineering programs. Some are also good in other fields. You need to define your search specification a bit.

University of Texas at Arlington (Dallas) is a very well regarded Civil Engineering school.

By public, do you mean 'state' schools. For example Standford, UC Berkeley, UCSD etc are Top Engineering schools but they are all Private just like MIT.

State schools are like San Diego State Univerisity (not the best school) and so on... Is this what you meant?
