What is the capitol of Israel?

I heard Obama say Jerusalem was the capitol. When did this change? Since the beginning, Israel has called Tel Aviv their capitol and USA has their embassy there. Did they do a secret switcharoo?

Tel aviv is the capital though they claim jerusalem as the capital as part of their plan to steal it and the rest of the palestinian territories from the palestinians.

Jerusalem is now the Capital as declared by Israel. But some countries recognize Tel Aviv as the capital to keep from dissing the Palestinians.

It became official July 30, 1980 with the Jerusalem Law. The 6 Days War allowed Israel to take over Jurisdiction of Jerusalem.

The US Embassy is in Tel Aviv, the city the United States recognizes as capital. The statement by Obama, if repeated while he is in office will constitute recognition of Jerusalem as the capital.

Under Israeli law, "Jerusalem, complete and united, is the capital of Israel" and the city serves as the seat of the government, home to the President's residence, government offices, supreme court, and parliament.
