Is Tim Tebow the "Second Coming?"?
According to the sports world Tim Tebow can do the following:
1. Was born of a virgin.
2. Walk on water.
3. Heal the sick.
4. Feed 5,000 people w/a few loaves of bread & a few fish.
5. And finally, "will" his team to a win.
Apparently, in a clinch, he can also call on the armies of Heaven to help with his problems.
What's next for Tebow? He plans to fly around America, saving people from burning buildings, and to top it off, he will fly around the world really, really fast to slow time so he can save Lois Lane from dying in an earthquake.
C'MON! Tim Tebow is just the next Matt Leinart. ALL HYPE, no NFL talent. He'll flop in the NFL like so many overhyped God-like quarterbacks. Who's with me on this?
To ASHLEY: I know! One of the Top 5 best of all time? OMG. What an insult to players like Roger Staubach, Dan Marino, Jim McMahon, Ty Detmer, and Peyton Manning. Tebow will be another Matt Leinart...pure & simple.
BTW, that speech he gave after the loss to Mississippi earlier in the season...you know...the one about "You will never see a player play as hard as I will play, etc." Hearing that gives a bowel movement. He deserves an Emmy for that fake @$$ performance. I'd hope he would do well in the SEC b/c the SEC is down this year. Apparently the Mountain West is the best now. LOL (i.e. BYU, Utah, TCU)
To MISS MCGILLICUTTY & SPORTSFAN 925: True, he won & deserves some credit. True, again, his faith is impressive. I however feel most of his "passion" is for show. Put him in the NFL against the Ravens defense and we'd see him fold. Unfortunately, I believe nowadays the college game doesn't prepare the QBs like they should. Matt Ryan of Boston College (now Atlanta Falcons) & Peyton Manning are a few exceptions.

Grant it, he might be over exposed in college ball, but then who isnt? Many players get much exposure, only to not hold up to their standards, or better, the publics standards, on a professional level.
No matter how he fares when entering The NFL, as a young man, only 21, he is a remarkable human being for all he does and believes in. Of course when religion comes in to play everyone gets bent out of shape, but this guy could have chose not to do as he does, and take the wrong road. His up bringing, belief system is enormous, and what he chooses to do and loves what he does, is just extraordinary for one his age. He will be most successful no matter what he chooses to do, cause thats simply, how he goes about things, and succeeds at doing it.

He may or may not be NFL talent, but there is no denying he is a great college football player. That's the hype surrounding him, not how he's going to do in the NFL. I am not a Gator fan, but he's obviously a good kid who cares deeply for his team, his education and people in general. Let him have his 15 minutes.

i agree with oklahoma: put tebow in the big 12, and he's the number 4 quarterback behind bradford, mccoy, and harrell.
to anyone who thinks right off hand that i'm wrong, i want you to honestly ask yourself if you think he'd have more touchdowns (feel free to count running and throwing) or more yards than any of those three.

i know, lol. I just asked a question similar to this.
The broadcasters lastnight even had the gull to refer to him as one of the top 5 college players of all time. He's a great college QB, but i dunno if i would even rank him in my top 25 of alltime college QBs.
