Nope, you are 13 and she is trying to keep you alive until you are 18. At 13 your have no privacy and you earn your trust. Don't screw it up young man, it takes along time to get it back.

Forget Legalities and privacy from Parents and all that crap. Parenting is Parenting..and no law can overcome that. When a law or a Human Rights Organisation can carry a child for 9 months and go through the labour pains - then let them talk about Privacy and Parenting. Listen to your Mom and forget the legal crap. You'll be happy!

Of course she is invading your privacy, that is her responsibility and province. I think she is a little naive though. What are you so concerned about hiding. I would have simply logged every conversation and contact you had or made, including every keystroke without your knowledge. I would then have discovered your ulterior motives for having such an overwhelming concern about your privacy. Who pays for your Internet connection anyway? Who paid for that hardware, including hundreds of dollars worth of dumbing down game boxes you are using? If your Mother hasn't done a better job of bringing you around than this, you have already gotten away with far too much; probably with little or no oversight.
Don't worry though, the law will straighten you out in a few more years.

It sounds a little invasive, but so what? You'll realize later on down the road how truly disturbing the digital revolution is and how it can engulf people's lives so easily. Your mom is fully justified in doing what she's doing, even if she's coming off kind of overbearing.
I didn't grow up with Youtube or cell phones or Xbox. I'm no worse off for it now.
And for the record, my mom did the same thing, and looking back on it I'm really happy she did.

No, she is not invading your privacy. she is doing what more moms should be doing - keeping tabs on a 13 year old who isn't yet socially mature enough to be turned loose.

She's just being a bit over-protective, there are so many weirdos on the web. Show her yr maturity & she might loosen the apron strings a bit. Take care

At thirteen...no l don't think she is invading your privacy at all.
She cares about you and the company you keep. She has your best interests at heart.
lf you do the right thing now at your young age ....you will prove to her as you get older, that you will make the right decision in life.

Wow, it sounds like she is actually being a mom rather than trying to be your best friend. That is awesome.
No, she is not invading your privacy, I'm sure that you don't have a job that pays the rent, the utilities, for your xbox live subscription, your internet service, your phone...etc. She is within her rights to keep tabs on you and who you communicate with.
It is refreshing to hear of a parent that is not afraid to be a parent.

Umm, your 13. You don't really have privacy. You should be happy that your mom keeps tabs on you. At least you know she cares.
