Can the Pittsburgh Pirates actually finish .500 or better this year ?

    No. Very sorry to say it is not possible.

    The other teams in the Division are too strong...playing .500 against any of them looks hard...maybe the Reds.

    I wish I could say something encouraging. Ownership doesn't have the agenda to improve this club...they are putting the team on the field to make money from revenue sharing.

    Those are the cold facts.

    I think it'll be very hard for them to do that.

    The NL Central is loaded with the Cubs, Brewers, Cardinals and Astros, and that's who the Pirates play most of the time.

    Who do they really have?

    The NL Central is tough...The Cubs, Cards, Astros, and now the Brewers are tough.

    No chance. The players that they have suck. The only good player is Matt Capps and they can't even get him save opps.

    i hope so

    they are my team and i go see them probably 10 times a year, so i hope they are actually 500 or close to it

    No. I will root for them to do well, but thet do little to improve their team. They continue to trade talented players. They have a beautiful new stadium, and don't draw well because the team they put on the field is awful.
