I got a ticket yesterday. We were already planning on buying a new car. Can I sell my ticketed car?

It was a speeding ticket, going 20 in a 15 mph zone.

Don't know where your from but most places the ticket is to the driver and not the car, unless it's photo radar and then it's to the license plate and the registered owner. I can't see why you wouldn't be able to sell the car.

Check with your Registry of Motor Vehicles. They should be able to tell you if an unpaid speeding ticket would prevent the new purchaser from registering the automobile.

The ticket is handed to the operator of the vehicle, not assigned to the vehicle.

there is really no way to get around paying a ticket. the fines increase and your new car might get towed. i wouldnt take a chance.
