I read a book and the main character's name was Will Tweedy....?
It was set in the 1800 in the deep south. I think it might have been called "The Cold Sassy Tree." I heard they made a movie but called it something different. Does anyone know the name of the movie?

Thanks someone told me the movie had a different name. I really want to see it as I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

The movie is also called Cold Sassy Tree.
Carlisle Floyd wrote an opera based on the book as well.
