Hello Glen
Top contributors are very active members of the community, and while it appears that your preferred category is other - home & garden, you only appear to answer a few question each day from this specific category, therefore it may be the case that you are not answering enough questions from that category(~ies) to merit the top contributor title. At present there has been no indication that reporting abuse effects the top contributor status.
The top contributor titles are updated weekly on Mondays, my advise would therefore be to concentrate on a specific category and try to answer at least 15 - 20 questions a day from that category. As long as the best answers continue to come in you should have the badge back within a couple of weeks.
All the best

Yahoo would not strip you of your top contributor status for reporting abuse such as an answer with a link that contains a virus. They would strip you of your badge for being gone, i.e. not answering questions.

i ask your self why that's maximum of at here look to think of that TC's have some style of particular privileges or ability. There are not any perq's or powers by any potential that flatter being a TC. And as for troll-TC's... i style of doubt it is the TC's trolling around doing injury at here. that they had hardly have time pondering it takes substantial time merely answering sufficient questions in one class (or extra for some) to get sufficient ultimate solutions with a view to maintain the badge. in my opinion, I choose Y!A could do away with the "honor" altogether.
