To arabic speaker / linguists regarding greeting?

I've read from a forum that you can't greet Muslims with Assalamualikum since Assalam is one of Allah's name. (Al-Hashr: 23).

My question is:

What is the difference between Assalam in assalamualikum and in surah Al-Hashr: 23?

I wonder why the one who said that said it ,because the greeting in Islam is "assalamu alaikum" meaning peace be upon you,and that what the prophet(alaihi al-salam ) taught the muslim to greet each other ,true Al-Salam is one of the names of Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala)

.in the verse you referring to i.e.

    (Yusuf Ali):

59:23[ Allah is He, than Whom there is no other god;- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace (and Perfection), the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of Safety, the Exalted in Might, the Irresistible, the Supreme: Glory to Allah. (High is He) above the partners they attribute to Him.] there in no difference in Arabic between the two beside that it's a name for God it's also a greeting when you say it to someone you're saying to him that I don't have bad intentions towards you I have only peace

    peace
