Don't really remember what day of the week it was, but I sure remember where I was & what I was doing.

I was on the USS Dwight D Eisenhower, in the channel, putting to sea for work-up exercises prior to a scheduled deployment. General Quarters sounded, with the announcement "This is not a drill, General Quarters, all hands man you battle stations, Now man Quick Draw (the ship's defensive weapons)". Naturally, the exercises were cancelled and we made the trip to stand guard off the coast of New York at flank speed.

I remember it like it was yesterday. We didn't know what would happen, or how long we would be there. Additionally, all communication to our families was cut off for the duration because "Loose lips sink ships". About half of the airwing stayed in Virginia to guard DC, and the other half came aboard to guard New York, flying around the clock.

It was on a Tuesday. I had just taken my grandmother to a doctor's appointment. After her appointment, I went into the Best Buy across the street. When I walked in, everyone was crowded around the tv's, watching the news footage. That's how I found out.

i was only 5 years old and i remember it like yesterday.

i was watching the news looking for the newest toys. when i saw these 2 buildings and one was on fire. and i started laughing since i thought it was a movie. my mom was in the kitchen. and my dad and brother were gone. so i called my mom and told her to look at the movie. and she came. and she just gasped and sat down. i didn't see what was wrong. i didn't understand. i thought it was cool.

so i kept watching. but then this person came on the news. and started talking about all this bad stuff. and i started feeling sad. i felt something was wrong. so i told my mom why is she saying that stuff. and my mom said its real.

and i didn't believe her. so i kept watching. and i saw some scary images.

that night i couldn't sleep at all. i just remember laying in bed. thinking of the news.

and i remember it completely because i can remember important stuff like that fully. of course some things i cant remember.

but now that im 13 now. i see what a tragedy that was

It was early Tuesday morning. I watched the Denver Broncos play on Monday night football and one of my favorite players, Ed McCafferey suffered a broken leg. My disappointment over that was obviously trivialized when I saw what happened the next morning.

I was in my Grandma's house when that day happened.

I remembered that it was on a Tuesday because I had school that day and most classes were watching the towers collapsing rather than studying *I was in the 4th grade*.

I believe it was a Tuesday, I was drinking coffee and watching Good Morning America on ABC. My daughter and my grandkids just arrived the day before from New York. They had moved back.

I'm pretty sure it's Tues because I had school yesterday. I was in the Philippines at night when it happened. The only think to talk about the next day is the crash.

    Tuesday

I was in 7th grade in English class. I live an hour north of the city so a lot of kids were being picked up. My dad works in the city so I was nervous.
