Funky smell in a car?

I have a 2000 Cadillac Seville that has a funky smell every morning. There is nothing in the interior that I can find to explain it. I have heard that you can get a clogged drain line where water runs off the windshield under the cowl and it can get stinky there, but I can't find a drain anywhere under the hood. Any other ideas? Would flushing the heater core be effective?

Check your manual or take it to an oil change place. You might have a CABIN FILTER in it. These can get old and cruddy. It happened to me in my escape. I Just took it out. but you can replace it.

i recently had my heater core flushed cause the heat was not working so well. i did not notice any type of smell before or after the flushing. the heat works great now. so i doubt the heater core would be the cause of the smell, but it might be a good idea to have done anyway.

wots a funky smell ? you need to be most precise, if a fishy smell, check your alternator is not over charging, it makes battery smell and swell up and could explode
