Would you support a boycott of Hersheys if you knew this?

Hershey chocolates has slowly been closing plants all over america over the last couple of years and moving manufacturing and jobs to mexico. I fell its time for Americans to let Hersheys owners know that since they dont support America by keeping jobs and plants here in America then America no longer supports them.

Update:

i always felt that Hersheys was as american as apple pie and baseball but now hearing this i am truley disgusted. theres tons of other places to buy chocolate and candy from and anyways since the economy is soo bad who has money for chocolate

Update 2:

go here and you will find what products they make

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_products_manu...

Update 3:

well at this moment i dont have a car since my husband was laid off from his job making parts for cars i did drive a ford taurus though but had to give it up when he became unemployed could no longer afford it

Update 4:

yeah most things arent 100% american made but this was something that was and hardly even is now. i dont mind so much things not being 100% american made as long as what says it is has a big cut of it being made in america cuz even i relize that 100% is a rarity these days and times but this was a company that was and grew on the fact that they were an american company and now to do this i think is wrong

Update 5:

i agree with you prey i live across the street from a chevy plant and right next door to a uaw hall and think its disgusting that auto workers still expect to receive huge salaries and above average benefits when they are in an industry that is dying. they refuse to understand that america is not the king of cars that it once was and the days when they got paid high salaries and above average benefits has come and gone and if they want to keep working they need to lower their expectations somewhat but seem to greedy to. the best bet is for the auto companies to declare bankruptcy and start over again this way the contracts they have with the unions will be null and void and they can renegotate more reasonable pay and benefits and if these workers there now dont like it then they can move aside and let those who are jobless and want a job to step in

Yes, the Hershey Company has closed its plants in Hershey and York, Pennsylvania, laid off its loyal employees and moved operations to Mexico. Ah, yes. Mexico. Land of salmonella peppers now the land of salmonella candy?

    Nothing is 100% American made..

I have a Ford van that says "assembled in Mexico" on it..

We are in a world market these days and things come from all over the world. When the wages come down in the US because of this depression, then we will once again competitive and there will be more jobs, but at lower pay.

Also if we want things at a low price, then we must pay less for labor.

We have to compete world wide and there is no way around it. Boeing is selling jets to France, while France also produces the "airbus" but is buying from Boeing.. This happens all the time. If we want the Mexicans to stay in Mexico, they also have to have something to work at. We have Ford factories, and now Hersheys .. That is just the way of the world these days..

Until America stops allowing illegals across the border and paying for them to reproduce like rabbits on viagra, why bother?

This raises the question, if you won't buy Hershey's because it's made in Mexico...what kind of car do you drive? I seriously doubt it's 100% American made.
