Trying to open some files saved on a floppy, but it says disk needs to be formatted.And I can't open it.?

I have oppened it before, but now it is not working. Any advise?

    sounds like two different computers used/if u didn't change comp; it's lost a start file / and if u format it you've LOST IT!

    The floppy disk has been damage, you need to replace it.

    If it says it needs to be formatted, that means there's nothing on it, it somehow got erased. The data is no longer there.
