If U.S. government put money into the banks "preferred stock"?

can we say that the nationalization of the U.S banks are performed or what means that?

Is it possible the nationalization in the

united_socialist_state_republic_of_america ?

    Nationalization usually mean wiping out all shareholder value and the government taking over and ruining the banks and making business decision, buying preferred stock does neither.

    No, preferred stock gives the bank flexibility but gives the government no control. When you nationalize an industry you takeover the firms entirely and wipe them out.
