How many people agree with this information?

Surprising information on how people have voted and how their city's have done as a result.TOP 10 POVERTY CITIES

This has got to be one of the greatest American tragedies. Forwarded to me by one of my die-hard liberal friends, who is beginning to see the light:

What do the top 10 cities with the highest poverty rate all have In common?

Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list)...hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1961;

Buffalo, NY (2nd)...hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1954;

Cincinnati, OH (3rd)...hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1984;

Cleveland, OH (4th)...hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1989;

Miami, FL (5th)...has never had a Republican mayor;

St. Louis, MO (6th)...hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1949;

El Paso, TX (7th)...has never had a Republican mayor;

Milwaukee, WI (8th)...hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1908;

Philadelphia, PA (9th)...hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1952;

Newark, NJ (10th)...hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1907.

Einstein once said, 'The definition of insanity is doing the Same thing over and over again and expecting different results.'

It is the disadvantaged who habitually elect Democrats --- yet Are still disadvantaged.

    Your egging the chicken I think. The same reasons Dems have been elected over and over again is the same culture that causes the massive poverty. The poverty then becomes a cycle as the Dems have made it a mainstay to buy off poverty stricken groups with political bones, which in turn causes more problems and drive away those industries that might bring jobs and relief to the poverty. Corruption being the biggest problem.

    As to whether it will change, well special interest groups and corruption are on the rise. So I doubt much will change.

    you're confusing correlation with causation (a logical fallacy.)

    10 Richest Cities in America:

    1. San Jose, CA - Mayor Chuck Reed (D)

    2) Anchorage AK - Mayor Matt Claman (D)

    3) San Francisco CA - Mayor Gavin Newsome (D) and Democratic since 1964

    4) Virginia Beach, VA - Mayor Will Sessoms (R) first Republican in 20 years

    5) San Diego, CA - Jerry Sanders (R) with about an even split with R and D over the past 70 years.

    6) Anaheim, CA - Curt Pringle (R)

    7) Raleigh, NC - Charles Meeker (D)

    8) Seattle, WA - Greg Nickels (D) and democratic back at least 30 years

    9) Washington, DC - Adrian Fenty (D)

    10) Honolulu, HI - Mufi Hannemann (D) and Democratic mayor for about 25 years.

    cities with higher poverty rates usually have more minorities, and minorities (who are economically disadvantaged more often than whites REGARDLESS of what mayor the city has), happens to vote democrat more often than they vote republican... for ideological reasons.

    the fact that 7 of 10 of the richest cities in America have democrats as mayors is very impressive.

    If you're so sure of your theory, why was George W. elected twice and left the White House with a 22% approval rating. Just thinking and yes, I'm a liberal. Questions?

    Einstein was not a god. He could have said anything.

    Where did you get this information from. Website by the government to back that up would be good. Your best friend wikipedia is not reliable.
