Is Ricky taking revenge?
I dont know why he need to decide against playing in IPL? Look like he is taking revenge against IPL as he was sold cheaply(for 400,000) than other major International players and he is jealous?
Most of you guys are missing a point here. Let me be more clear.
If he would be sold for @ $1.5 M, do you think he would prefer to miss the IPL?
And Yes... Please dont be personal with me co's I am asking this question.
Thanks

Ricky was most ineffective in IPL. KKR was probably relieved when he went home.
He was sick; found the heat too much. So this situation may be a saving grace for him. Besides the minds of players. He has a wife and child to think of. But he will have to pay back KKR.
Edit:
I just heard KKR manager on TV. He has not heard anything from Ricky or any other foreign player about withdrawing till now.

Ricky havs a tight schedule ahead inlcuding the Ashes which we all well know that it's a very important tournament for Australia team, few new young guns are joining and looking forward to join Ricky for the ashes test in England, so that's one of the reason why Ricky step back from IPL.
I dont think it has got to do with jealousy or anythign like that Ricky isn't that type at all, he already have bulk of dollars in his bank account and is a very well of.
Your dirty suspicious mind is playing up your head I think.

If the cricketers feel apprehensive after such heinous crimes,it is understandable.
Where is the revenge here.
If there is disappointment about the IPL contract price,it is reasonable too.Resorting to auction for awarding contracts in IPL is a poor decision taken by politicians and businessmen who invaded cricket.

You have to stop listening to those voices inside your mind.
Ponting has a duty of responsibility to lead his country in far more important contests other than the IPL.
Ponting will not be the only player that refuses to go to the sub continent.

Ricky Ponting has other things to worry about, such as the Ashes and the rebuilding process of his team. Since he is the captain and senior member of the team, he needs to lead from the front by saying that he needs to rest his body. With all of the sponsorships and is cricket salary already, Ponting is definitely affluent in Australia, so he doesn't have to play just for the money.

NO, I DON'T THINK THAT IS WHY HE HAS PULLED OUT FROM THIS IPL. THE SCHEDULE IS VERY TIGHT AND EVERY PLAYER NEEDS REST.
I THINK WE SHOULD GIVE RESPECT TO RICKY FOR PULLING OUT OF IPL BY IGNORING MONEY. THIS WAS VERY DIFFICULT DECISION FOR RICKY PONTING AND HE TOOK IT IN THE BENEFIT OF HIS COUNTRY.
U NEED TO THINK PROPERLY BEFORE CLAIMING OR ACCUSING ANYBODY.
I HOPE RICKY WILL AGAIN TAKE PART IN 2010 IPL.

Ricky has decided to pullout at CA's request to prepare for the strenuous tours ahead, mainly the Ashes campaign. Nothing to do with money, Ricky is very well off in fact.

His made the right decision to spend some time with his family. Not everything revolves around money like you seem to think.
