Does anyone Know of a good scanner for a 2002 A6 3.0?

I have bought one on ebay, waste of money and I should have known better. i want to be able to read my codes in my garage but i didn't want to spend a fortune on a snap-on or mac. Bottom line is i would like the least expensive one that will actually do the job and be reusable. Thanks

    mac-tools also make just code readers, i have one which cost about £40, simple to use and communicate with most makes and models post yr2000 with DL16 ports (the plug).

    Check AutoEnginuity- they have PC based Software and you can buy Audi specific software
