99 Ford Escort ZX2 making noise?
I have a 99 Ford Escort ZX2. About a week ago it started making a bom bom bom noise by the passanger front tire. (Not boom boom boom.) Sounded like it was comming from the tire. Had Costco tire take a look and said that it was not the tire. He rode in the car with me around the parking lot and said he could feel a slight bumping under his feet. This noise and bumping that he felt was rythmetic. That is why I thought it was the tire. It sounded like it made the noise every time the tire would have made a rotation.
Car drives fine other then the noise.
Any ideas???

It could be anything having to do with the front end. The whole suspension needs to be checked, struts, tie rod, sway bar, even bad bearings could make that sound. Especially with the fact that the car is 10 yrs old, the cv- joint would also be a guess. Hope this helps.

I have a 99 escort zx2 and i had something similar in the front passenger side my problem was the wheel bearing i replaced the hub for $35 and no more problems i hope this helped

My money is on the cv joint. Does it make that sound all the time? When is it worst?
