What would happen to the alcohol?
If you had a container of alcohol and kept "contaminating" it ( rather than remove an amount for a specific application). What would happen to the alcohol? Would it lose its' effectiveness, or would you have a container of alcohol with a lot of dead/sterile bacteria, germs, virus etc.?
EDIT: Using only injection grade (97%) and considering only biological contaminants

I'm assuming you mean rubbing alcohol... and the answer is it depends, high concentration alcohol will destroy the membrane of bacteria causing them to bust and die... Viruses can survive unless it contains between 80% and 95% alcohol.
However your 'container' may still be contaminated by other things. Say heavy metals and and dirt or whatever chemicals got in it.
EDIT: well 97% is a little high you might get some viral contaminates because proteins won't be broken down without enough water.

I don't know, but that is an awesome question. Now I want to know.
If I give you a star maybe someone will answer that for us.
