short and hot or long and cool?

When drying clothes, is it cheaper to run a short hot cycle or to run a cooler temp but longer.? Obviously only for materials that can take the heat!

Running a short hotter cycle will dry the clothes, but you will have to put less clothing in it and run more cycles....also the extra heat is not good for any material. You are better off running a medium heat for longer and dry a whole load at once and also being easier on the materials in the dryer.
